The #POPI Act, the Regulations and other protocols have now had some time to “settle in”. There have been a number of major data and systems breaches as well as a first fine issued. #TES and their clients face considerable risk given the nature and extent of personal information beings shared in terms of candidates, assignees, payroll, medical records, verification checks, union membership and biographical data. This impacts contracts such as SLA’s, employment contracts, operator agreements and commercial terms of engagement. This workshop looked into TES-specific context and the various dimensions to address that are key in managing risk and providing data subjects with peace of mind.
